The four contributory factors that were put in to be about prevalent in the literature search were socio-economic stressors, parental nitty-gritty misuse, domestic violence and the intergenerational transmission theory. A wealth of resources was build to bear witness how individually factor contributed towards the occurrence of minor abuse. These were indeed analysed and discussed in separate chapters, and a critique was made of each one.
